James M. Loughborough was born in 1833 at or near the town of Frankfort, Ky. He married Mary Webster (b. 28 Aug. 1835) on 10 Nov. 1859 in St. Louis, Mo. He died 31 July 1876, and his wife on 26 Aug. 1887. They had six children: Julia Webster, Jean Moore, Mary, Hope Fairfax, James Fairfax, and St. James Noble. James M. Loughborough was a lawyer.
